QEP Goals and Objectives

In the spring of 2024, the QEP Committee developed surveys that were distributed to leadership, faculty, staff, and students via email, digital display, and flyers. The surveys include student needs assessments and the Wellness Inventory for Students and Employees (WISE). The surveys requested feedback on existing services as well as additional services respondents would find most helpful. From the feedback received, the following goals and objectives were determined.

Goal 1: Foster an environment of wellness that increases students’ awareness of their own financial literacy.

Objective 1.1

  • Student Success Outcome 1.1: Students will report increased awareness of their personal financial literacy strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Service Delivery Outcome 1.1: Access to the financial planning platform, iGrad, will be provided to all students.
  • Service Delivery Outcome 1.1.2: An appointment with a financial aid counselor will be provided to all students who receive financial aid at least once per academic year.
  • Target 1.1: 80% of students who participate in the financial planning platform will report increased awareness of their personal financial literacy strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Target 1.1.2: 80% of students who meet with the financial aid counselor will report increased awareness of their personal financial literacy strengths and areas for improvement.

Assessment Methods: LASSI, iGrad and surveys

Goal 2: Foster an environment of wellness that increases students' awareness of their perceived stress.

Objective 2.1

  • Student Success Outcome 2.1: Students will demonstrate improved awareness of their perceived stress as measured by the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) assessments.
  • Service Delivery Outcome 2.1: Access to the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) will be provided to all students at the beginning and end of their academic year.
  • Target 2.1.1: 25% of students who participate in the Perceived Stress Scale will show an improvement in their perceived stress scale at the end of the academic year.
  • Target 2.1.2: 100% of students scoring moderate to high on the Perceived Stress Scale will be offered appropriate follow-up resources at the time they complete the pre-/post-test.

Direct Measurement

Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) Metrics:

  • Pre/post PSS score changes for individual students
  • Percentage of students showing decreased stress scores over the academic year (20% increase annually from the baseline year)
  • Distribution of students across low/moderate/high stress categories at Pre/post scores
  • Response rates to PSS assessments (to ensure representative data)
